Sand/Cement Screed Systems
Interior Screed are licenced installers of market leading Tarmac Cem-Screed
Traditional Floor Screed
Either factory batched or site mixed. Our traditional screeds boast excellent cement dispersion coupled with uniform compressive strength. We are able to loose tip ready mixed screed (direct from manufacturer batching plant) or alternatively site mix the screed and deliver the material via screed pump into working areas. Should access or site restrictions be an issue we can also wheel barrow screed into working areas.
Ideal for use in hospitals, offices and industry, fibre screeds have been developed to meet the demand for sand and cement screeds without the incorporation of a reinforcement mesh. By incorporating an even dispersion of polypropylene fibres the screed is super strong. The fibres improve cohesion and control cracking caused by intrinsic stresses.
Fast Drying Screeds
Suitable for all common floor finishes and allow for earlier use of the floor space. They are particularly common within fast track retail fit out contracts. Fast drying screeds have a drying rate of 4mm per day and can accept light foot traffic after 2 Days.
Rapid Setting Screeds
Ideal for extremely tight programmes. Site mixed, they can normally be trafficked after several hours and are able to accept a final floor finish 24 hours after installation. Relying on an aluminium based cement to accelerate the hardening process.
SBR Polymer Modified Screed
Increased toughness and bond properties thanks to the inclusion of a synthetic polymer resin. These screeds minimise shrinkage and cracking, permerability is reduced and flexural strength is improved. Polymer modified screeds can provide higher performance at thinner levels when normal thickness would normally be problematic. SBR screed can be installed to a minimum depth of 25mm (Bonded).
High Density Screeds
Provide a higher strength and abrasion resistant finish. High Density screed is effective on floors subject to heavy foot traffic and point loading. These screeds can either be bonded directly to the slab or placed onto thermal/acoustic insulation.
Tarmac Cem-Screed equal approved to Isocrete K Screed
A site mixed screed delivered into working areas through our specialist screed pumps or mixers. A cost competitive alternative to the heavily specified Isocrete K Screed we are one of only a small number of installers selected by Tarmac Mortars and Screeds to install this alternative fail safe product on a nationwide basis.
Flowing Screed Systems
Flowing Screed / Anhydrite Screed / Calcium Sulphate
Can be installed 10-20 times faster than conventional screed. Anhydrite delivers an enhanced flexural strength and so can be laid at minimum thicknesses compared to traditional screeds. Delivered factory-produced the screed is installed using our specialist pumps. Flowing Screed is ready for immediate application, utilising anhydrate allows a rapid application rate of up to 2000m2 per day.
Normally accessible to foot traffic within 24 hours the material is self-compacting without segregation. There is a minimal need for movement joints and the material is protein free and will not harbour bacteria. Soundness to category A according to BS 8204: Part 1 (BRE Screed Test). A class SR2 surface regularity (5mm in 3m length) when installed.
Floor Levelling and Industrial Topping Coats
Self Levelling Screeds
Self-smoothing compound designed to smooth undulations in cementitious floor substrates and to build depths from 3 to 50mm. With an installation rate of up to 2000m2 per day the screed is an excellent solution should ceramic/vinyl need to be installed directly to a rough surface concrete slab.
Industrial Topping Coats
A range of smoothing compounds and floor toppings especially suited for commercial and industrial floor applications. Both industrial grade, self-smoothing sub-layment floorbase and toppings provide the ultimate application material for today’s busy industrial floor areas, such as warehouses and other heavily trafficked areas.
