Project Highlights
The extension will provide an additional 31 new care bedrooms, along with sitting, dining, activity and staff areas. Once extended, the care home will provide a total of 60 care bedrooms.
Floor screeding commenced following consultation with the client and their design team. Interior Screed Group were then instructed to install to the ground floor – PIR thermal insulations, 1200g DPM with 500g separating layer together with a 75mm thick fibre floor screed. To upper floors we installed Yelofon HD10+ acoustic membrane together with a 65mm thick fibre floor screed, pumped into working areas.
By utilising sand and cement floor screed we provided the contractor with the flexibility to marry up existing flooring to the newly installed floor screed together enabling us to form micro falls to easily marry up newly installed thresholds and bi-fold doors ensuring final floor finishes fitted perfectly.
