Reinforcement for levelling screeeds should be steel fabric of type D49 or A98 conforming to BS 4483:1998, alternatively a 50 mm square, 16 gauge welded wire mesh flat sheet should be used.

NOTE – Heavier reinforcement might be required by the designer for use levelling screeds intended for structural purposes.
