At 50mm thickness especially when used with underfloor heating systems we would always recommend installing a thicker screed if possible, normally a 75mm thick sand and cement product which helps create a storage heater effect using the screed itself to store heat as appose to customers thermostats constantly kicking in due to screed being very thin at 50mm thick.
​ ​ At 75mm thick the screed provides a ‘solid feel’ floor underfoot with zero bounding effect. 75mm thick sand & cement screed is also malleable in terms of falling the screed using micro-falls to thresholds and bi-folds that are out of level doors as appose to customers thermostats constantly kicking in when screeds are very thin at 50mm thick.​
